Easter, the most important feast of the Russian Orthodox Church calendar is traditionally celebrated with the exchanging of eggs and three kisses. It was Peter Carl Faberge, the famous Russian jeweler and the Supplier to the Imperial Court, who began to make Easter eggs using silver, gold, copper, nickel, palladium, stones and enamel. While perfecting his skill since 1884 he worked out a unique design style of the artifacts that is well known as Faberge style all over the world.
